memo_write | Saves a note. Input { text }, up to 20,000 characters. Returns { id, createdAt }. |

transcribe | Turns audio at a URL into timestamped text with whisper.cpp on this server. Input { url, language? }, up to 25 MB and 30 minutes; links to files uploaded here are read directly. Returns { segments: [{ start, end, text }], language, duration }, times in seconds. |
Every tool returns structured content that matches the output schema it declares in tools/list.
Sign-in
- OAuth 2.1 with PKCE (S256). This server is both the resource server and its own authorization server: issuer

/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp(RFC 9728) and/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server(RFC 8414). - Clients identify themselves with a Client ID Metadata Document (an https
client_id) or register at/register(Dynamic Client Registration, kept for older clients). Public clients only. - Every new client needs the owner's approval on a consent page, with the owner's passphrase. Nobody else can let a client in.
- Tokens are bound to
https://tools.olbyte.eu/mcp(RFC 8707) and scopemcp. Access tokens last 1 hour; refresh tokens rotate and last 30 days. Only a hash of each token is stored.
Data it keeps
- Notes: text, time and which client wrote it. Kept until the owner deletes them.
- Uploaded files: the file, its name, type, size and which client uploaded it. Public at its link until the owner deletes it.
- Audio for transcription is downloaded to a temporary folder and deleted when the transcript is done. Transcripts are returned, not stored.
- Sign-in records: registered clients (name, redirect addresses), hashes of codes and tokens, and an audit log of sign-ins and tool calls (time, client, tool, success).
- Everything lives in one SQLite file and a files folder on a VPS in the EU (OVHcloud). Nothing is sent to third parties, except fetching the audio or metadata URLs a client names.
